The 9L Association advocates on behalf of joint enlisted Global Security & Strategy professionals through deliberate engagement with legislative and executive stakeholders to ensure the enlisted international affairs community is understood, resourced, and effectively employed. By building relationships with members of Congress, congressional staff, and executive branch officials, the Association communicates the unique value of 9Ls in advancing U.S. global engagement and national security objectives. It provides informed perspectives on policy, force development, and programmatic needs, and supports initiatives that enhance training, utilization, and career progression for all Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Guardians engaged in Global Security or Strategy work. Through professional, nonpartisan advocacy, the Association works to align policy decisions with operational realities, strengthening both the 9L community and the broader effectiveness of the United States Armed Forces in the international arena.
